In Sweden new vehicles must be inspected within three years, and the first i3 just passed. The control points are much the same as fossil-fueled cars, i.e. brakes, suspension, tires, belts, lights, horn, warning triangle, etc. The exceptions are, of course, motor specific points like emission levels, oil leaks, etc. that do not need to be checked on a BEV. How/if it is checked on a REX maybe another owner could put in a comment below.
The car passed without remark. Bonus was to see the happy face on the inspector when he checked the car, especially when he asked to open the bonnet.
